The ever-stylish Nicole Kidman and Dolly Parton dressed to impress as they attended the annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday night. Nicole, 52, pulled out all the stops in a stunning, sequinned number, while Dolly, 73, shimmered in two signature over-the-top outfits for the star-studded occasion.
Accompanied by her country singer husband, Keith Urban, the Moulin Rouge! star looked incredible in the figure-hugging dress, which featured shades of red, orange and pink, dramatic sleeves and fringe detailing on the skirt. Nicole’s dress, which was tightly cinched at the waist, also featured floral accents.
Standing tall in salmon-coloured heels, Nicole stood out from her fellow A-listers as she smiled for photos, with her blonde locks swept into a chic low ponytail. She accessorised with a coral purse with a gold chain and added nude lippy to complete the look. Meanwhile, her husband stepped out in a striking all-black ensemble.
Nicole took to Instagram after the awards show, sharing a sweet photo of her and Keith. She captioned the post: “We had a great night! Thanks for having us #CMA’s.”
Many fans were quick to comment on the glamorous shot, with one writing: “You guys look absolutely great.” Another added: “The most beautiful couple at the CMA’s!” While a third wrote: “My favourite couple.”
Meanwhile, country singing music legend Dolly commanded attention in a figure-hugging white and gold dress which was decked out with her signature rhinestone embellishments. But it was the dress’ thigh-high slit that really stole the show, proving the star is never one to shy away from a bold fashion choice.
Dolly coordinated the glamorous look with sky-high stilettos, silver accessories and wore her trademark blonde locks in voluminous waves. She also opted for flawless makeup, with dark smokey eyeliner and a pink lip.
The ‘Jolene’ star, who was co-hosting the awards show with American singers Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire later changed into a beautiful white gown, which featured beading and dramatic fringing, to perform on stage, before slipping into a silver-coloured mini dress.
Dolly’s glamorous appearance comes a week after she took to Instagram to share the first official trailer for her upcoming Netflix anthology series, Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings, which will be made up of eight one-hour standalone episodes.
The highly-anticipated series, which will feature both new and old songs, such as ‘Two Doors Down’ and ‘These Old Bones’, will also include special appearances by the singer.
