Style queens! Dolly Parton and Kylie Minogue turn up the heat on red carpet

Music icons Dolly Parton and Kylie Minogue delighted fans at the weekend as they joined forces on the red carpet for a fabulous night out.

Dolly and Kylie both looked lovely as they attended the premiere of 9 to 5: The Musical in London on Sunday night. The original movie, of the same name, starred Dolly, alongside Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as three working women who decide to get revenge on their tyrannical boss.

For the lavish event, Dolly, 73, put on a striking display in a glamorous white dress, which featured silver embroidery and a fringed hem. She completed the look with matching silver stilettos, and wore her trademark blonde locks in voluminous waves.

Meanwhile, Kylie, 50, didn’t disappoint in the style stakes as she turned heads in a flowing blue dress, which featured ruffled detailing.

The Aussie singer later took to social media to share a glamorous snap from the event.

The comments of appreciation quickly started flowing, with one fan writing: “Omg the best two ladies in the whole world.”

Another added: “Ahh I love this! Two of my fave ladies.”

Kylie, a long-time Dolly fan, released her 14th album Golden last year, which she says was inspired by the legendary country singer.

Speaking to the Huffington Post last May, Kylie said: “I saw her perform for the first time at the end of 2015 at the Hollywood Bowl. Back then, I had no idea that I would be making an album with any reference to her or any kind of country influence. But I did feel like I saw the light when I saw her perform. She was unbelievably inspiring.

“I met her before that show and I was totally starstruck. I’m quite sure my hands ended up around her waist and I don’t know how they got there.”

Meanwhile, Dolly proved she is every bit a fashion icon as she showed off yet another stylish outfit for the 2019 Grammy Awards last week.

Dolly — who was honoured with the MusicCares Person of the Year award — stole the show early on in a striking red dress which featured feather detailing, silver embroidery and a ruffled hem. She completed the look with matching red stilettos, and wore her trademark blonde locks in voluminous waves.

The 73-year-old later slipped into a tasseled white dress as she took to the stage, with her goddaughter Miley Cyrus, to perform a stunning rendition of ‘Jolene’ in a special performance honouring the country star’s career.
