Dolly Parton turns heads in futuristic, figure-hugging dress

Even at the age of 72, singer Dolly Parton knows how to turn heads on a red carpet

The actress debuted a futuristic look earlier this week when she walked the red carpet at the Premiere of new Netflix film, Dumplin’. While she doesn’t appear in a major role for the film, Dolly was asked to write several songs for it.

The film, which is currently streaming on Netflix, tells the story of a plus-size teenager who is obsessed with the country music icon and signs up to a beauty pageant in Texas as a form of protest. The film stars Friends actress Jennifer Aniston, Danielle Macdonald and Odeya Rush.

At the premiere at the iconic Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in the heart of Hollywood, the ‘9 to 5’ songstress opted for a figure-hugging cream and black outfit that complimented her in all the right places. The dress featured an intricate pattern and was complete with a number of sparkly rhinestones.

She accessorised with a matching pair of see-through peep-toe heels and wore her blonde locks in a fashionable style for the event.

Dolly posed alongside Jennifer, who also sparkled at the star-studded premiere. She opted for a shiny black frock that showed off her toned legs and wore her luscious locks in a wavy style for the event.

The premiere came just days after Dolly made an embarrassing and raunchy bedroom confession when she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Things quickly turned x-rated when Dolly started talking about Jennifer, with the singer letting slip that her husband Carl Dean is a very big fan of the former Friends star.

Host Jimmy asked the ‘Islands in the Stream’ singer if she had known Jennifer for a long time.

“You know, I love her to death. My husband is crazy about her,” she said. “He was more excited that I was going to do a movie with her than he was that I got the chance to write all this music.”

Dolly worked closely with Jennifer when it came to writing the songs for the film. However, it was her next comments that really shocked.

“I think he kind of fantasises like a threesome with us,” she said. “No, He seriously does. He can’t even get it out to pee, much less get it out for three.”

Jimmy looked mortified as his guest and the live audience burst into laughter. She joked that her husband was going to kill her for saying that, before admitting that she really does love Jennifer.
