About Sandra Sweeney

Sandra Sweeney is a Gold Coast teacher and non-fiction writer who is still working full-time and raising a teenage granddaughter and a mini Labradoodle. She had never imagined that at this age life would be filled with the joy of netball games, parent-teacher interviews (as a parent) and working, so finding time to write is a challenge but a passion. She writes with a sense of humour about growing up in Sydney, education, travel, writing a memoir and mature-age workers and grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. Sandra’s first book, Ripples from the Wave was published in November 2018 so she has current experience in the process of writing and publishing for Starts at 60 members who may interested writing their own unique story.
