About Jim Bonham
Jim Bonham is a retired scientist and manager with a professional background that includes academic physical chemistry and applied research and development in the paper industry.
Jim has been retired for more than 15 years and has run his own SMSF since 2003, so he has a keen interest in Australia’s retirement income system. He feels that many politicians and commentators have little idea of what it is like to fund one’s own retirement.
Deeply concerned by the “insane complexity” and frequent changes across the entire superannuation/age pension/tax system, Jim has made a number of submissions to relevant government inquiries and has contributed articles to SuperGuide and SaveOurSuper.
