Bait those flies with this terrific natural recipe

Oct 26, 2013

Springtime is the time for flies, thousands and thousands of them this year ughhh….

So today, Jennifer Lockhart shares with us her recipe for a natural fly bait.

It works really well and is environmentally safe.

Chopped skin of one banana

Half a cup of flour

Half a cup of sugar

About two cups of water.

Mix altogether and pour into a plastic 2 litre container in which you have drilled several fly size holes.

Hang in a tree , in a few days it will stink like rotten meat and the flies love it, they go in and cant get out again.. I have several around my place and after a couple of weeks no more pesky flies, they are all in the mix. Empty at the end of summer and make again the next year…

In really hot weather you may need to top up the liquid as it does evaporate a little.
