Pop star cops backlash for ‘disrespectful’ Queen photos

The Royal Family is yet to respond to the images.

Pop superstar Rihanna has infuriated royalists around the world after sharing photoshopped images of the Queen on her social media.

Rihanna, who’s numerous hits include ‘Umbrella’ and Rude Boy’, edited a series of photos of herself in scantily-clad outfits and placed the Queen’s head on top of her body.

She wrote sarcastic comments such as “be humble” under each one.

It didn’t take long for fans to bite back, with some telling her to show some respect.

“Its rude you know. This is not funny. She’s someone’s grandma. Imagine if its yours,” one critic wrote.

Another added: “Rihanna is craving attention I suppose. The queen is 91 and deserves respect.”

The first photo showed the Queen’s head on the pop star’s green outfit.
Her Majesty appears in red.
She’s mostly covered in this image.
This one caused a lot of stir.
She appeared to joke about this one, writing: “Haters will say it’s photoshopped”.

The images came as a surprise to many, especially given the fact Rihanna spent time with Prince Harry in her home country of Barbados last year when he was there on an official visit.

Barbados is part of the Commonwealth and acknowledges Queen Elizabeth as its head of state.

What do you think of these photos? A bit of fun or disrespectful?
