Turmeric protein balls

A healthy, easy and delicious snack.

These lovely little protein balls are super tasty and packed with plenty of healthy ingredients, making them a great snack option between meals. The protein powder will keep you feeling full, while the applesauce brings the sweetness without loading up on sugar. Two teaspoons of turmeric may sound like a lot, but once it’s all mixed together and rolled in coconut you won’t even be able to taste it. Enjoy them as dessert or as a healthy little snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 4 tablespoons vanilla protein powder
  • 2 tablespoons oat or coconut flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened shredded coconut flakes for rolling

Method

1. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients omitting the shredded coconut flakes. Stir to combine.

2. Once combined, place two plates on the counter. One with the shredded coconut flakes. Another for set the balls on. Scoop a tablespoon of batter and roll into balls.

3. Roll the ball over the shredded coconut flakes then place on the empty plate. Repeat until the batter is complete. Place in the refrigerator 20-30 minutes to harden.
