Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding invites have been posted

The happy couple have narrowed down their guest list to 600.

Anyone who has planned a wedding knows that putting together a guest list can be a very hard task. You have to narrow down who you want at the wedding while also trying to keep everyone happy so you have a wonderful, drama-free day. This might be a bit easier for royal couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as it was revealed they have a pretty massive guest list.

In a statement released overnight, Kensington Palace disclosed that 600 invitations to the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which will take place at Windsor Castle on May 19, had been posted out. The invitations were issued, as per tradition, by the Prince of Wales and feature the Three-Feathered Badge printed in gold ink.

The statement released by the palace also gave some added insight into how the wedding would run adding that all the wedding guests were invited to a lunchtime reception at St George’s Hall hosted by The Queen.

Later in the evening, a special selection of 200 guests will be invited to a private reception at Frogmore House that will be hosted by Prince Charles.

While the official names on the guest list have not been announced many speculate that the Spice Girls, Elton John, rumoured love interest Ellie Goulding and a few of Prince Harry’s exes including Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy could be in attendance.

There was also some speculation that Former US President Obama could attend, if true, this might not sit well with current President Donald Trump. It is believed that Meghan Markle’s friends Priyanka Chopra and Misha Nonoo are a shoe-in to attend the big day.

One of the big questions on everyone’s lips is whether Markle’s half-brother Thomas Markle Jr and half-sister Samantha Grant will be invited after they have both publicly hit out at the actress in recent times. Grant’s intention to write a book about her relationship with Markle called ‘The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister’ could put her invite in jeopardy.

On top of the extensive guest list, 1,200 members of the general public have been asked to attend the grounds of Windsor Castle to celebrate the royal wedding. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had mentioned in the past they wanted to get the public involved. The public will get up close and personal with the couple on the wedding day as they take a carriage ride around the town of Windsor and make their arrival at Windsor Castle.
