Despite regularly appearing for royal engagements in the latest and greatest dresses and frocks, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has stuck to tradition for her latest public appearance.
The 46-year-old royal was spotted in a cape and gorgeous red and green dress and she attended a church service with her beautiful family on the Faroe Islands over the weekend.
The Princess, originally from Tasmania, donned a traditional Faroese outfit and she arrived for the special church service in Sandavágur.
It was a family affair with 11-year-old Princess Isabella and seven-year-old Princess Josephine wearing similar dresses to their mother. Meanwhile, seven-year-old Prince Vincent and 12-year-old Prince Christian wore smart black trousers, waistcoats, buckled shoes and long socks. They were the spitting image of 50-year-old Prince Frederick.
The traditional Faroese national dress is often worn on special occasions.

During the first day on the islands, the entire family dressed to impress and made sure they arrived in style in their traditional attire. There’s also been some time for fun, with the family enjoying the great outdoors earlier in the week. At one point, Princess Mary was spotted in a stylish khaki mac and skinny blue jeans as she posed with a group of surfers off the coast off the village of Tjornuvik.

She appeared completely at ease on the outing and swapped her usual high heels for some comfy black ankle boots to navigate the wet sand. A day earlier, she also swapped her stunning gowns for a brown thick coat and trousers, matching her children perfectly as they enjoyed a reception at the town of Klaksvík, before moving on to other surrounding areas.
