Elton John has marked the anniversary of his friend Princess Diana’s death with a beautiful photo of the two and a sweet message to the royal whose life was cut short 22 years ago.

Remembering their times shared together as young adults, the singer took to social media to pay tribute to Diana.  The two looked full of joy in the snap with big smiles spread across their faces as if they were having the time of their lives.

Elton’s quirky style was on display as he sported a blue vest with gold embellishment under a black jacket, while Diana looked elegant in a black top and navy blue jacket with gold detailing. Reminiscing on those days the star simply wrote: “Miss you so much.”
