Greg Norman accidentally causes hilarity among fans with cheeky photo

Australian golfing legend Greg Norman has left fans red-faced after he uploaded a seemingly innocent photo of himself and his dog at a beach in Florida to social media.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, the 65-year-old, who lives in the United States, shared a series of snapshots, harmlessly captioning them: “A man and his dog on a Sunday.”

While ‘The Great White Shark’, as he’s affectionately known, was looking buff in his swim shorts, there was one detail that really caught fans’ eyes. A number of followers hilariously pointed out a very X-rated detail in one of the photos, with one commenting: “There is more than one man and his dog in that first pic.”

Another cheekily added: “More like ‘a man and his hog’.” While a third joked: “Jesus Greggy, should [have] left the putter at home.” Another commented: “Hot dog?”

The Sunrise team even poked fun at the revealing photo on Tuesday morning, with host David Koch questioning: “Shouldn’t we be pixelating parts of that?”

Sunrise newsreader Edwina Bartholomew then quickly jumped in, humorously adding: “I don’t know what you mean Kochie, what are you looking at? It’s just a photo of Greg Norman and his dog going for a stroll on the beach.”

Meanwhile, others also commented on Norman’s impressive physique, with one follower writing: “You look amazing. You’re an inspiration!” Another added: “Are you really still that ripped?”

Speaking to ESPN in 2018, Norman revealed he works out a minimum of five days a week, saying: “I have a full gym at my house. I built it. It’s got a cardio room, a full weight room, free weights, all that stuff … At the end of the day, I do enjoy keeping fit at my age. I don’t have any ego about me, but I do love having a fit life.”

‘The Shark’ is never shy about showing off his body, and regularly posts pictures and videos of himself topless to social media. Earlier this year, Norman uploaded a video where he was hitting a golf ball while shirtless at his luxury home on Jupiter Island in Florida. His fans were no doubt impressed, with one commenting: “The Shark is ripped.”
