On a chilly winter’s day, there’s nothing quite like the cozy delight of sipping a glass of red wine while snuggled up at home.
However, that perfect moment can turn into a disaster in an instant when a splash of red wine mars your winter wardrobe
Fortunately, home hack expert Anita Birges has come to the rescue with the key to rescuing your stained winter woolies with ease.
“If you have only spilled a couple of drops, put some soda water on a clean cloth and dab away,” Birges explained.
“Don’t rub! Keep dabbing and folding the cloth to a clean side until gone!!”
For those stubborn red wine stains that have firmly established themselves, Birges suggests these essential steps:
1. Pour 2 cups of soda water into a bowl together with 2 tablespoons of bicarbonate/ baking soda and mix until dissolved.
2. Place stained area of your garment into the bowl.
3. Agitate and soak for about 30mins.
“Not only will these clever clothes cleaning hacks save your sanity, but will save you time and money as well!!” Birges added.
