Easiest ever flourless chocolate cake

Enjoy an indulgent treat, without the guilt! A delightful addition to your next family dinner, this fantastic recipe takes the traditional chocolate cake recipe and adds a flourless twist. It’s super easy to whip up and is a handy recipe to have on-hand for those gluten-intolerant visitors.

To really take it to the next level, serve with a nice drizzle of thickened cream and a dusting of icing sugar. Dig in!

Ingredients

• 120g dark chocolate, chopped
• 120g butter
• 150g caster sugar
• 50g cocoa powder
• 3 eggs, beaten
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 150C. Butter a 20cm round springform tin and dust with cocoa powder. 
2. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a double boiler over simmering water. 
3. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, cocoa powder, eggs and vanilla. Pour the batter into the buttered tin. 
4. Bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Let cool 10 minutes, then turn cake out on rack to cool completely.
