When you think of Her Majesty The Queen attending any royal engagement visions of a motorcade come to mind. After all, there are many photos of her waving royally to the crowds along the way. While that may be just for certain occasions, it’s not really expected that she would get behind the wheel and drive herself very often.
But that is exactly what happened this week, and the images have social media abuzz.
Queen Elizabeth II was seen driving home from church, the Sunday morning service at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor Park, in a green Jaguar.

It’s certainly not the first time the 91-year-old has been spotted driving.
According to The Telegraph, she loves to drive and is often seen taking her Range Rover for a spin around Sandringham Castle.

The Queen first learned how to drive during WWII, serving as a mechanic for the UK’s Women’s Auxiliary Territorial Service.
She is the only person in the UK allowed to drive without a licence.
She is not the only royal who choses to get behind the wheel. Prince William, for example, drove the family to a Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace last year.
