1. Swap coffee for green tea
If you crave that caffeine kick every day, you can try having a cup of green tea. It will give you the wake up you’re looking for and is jam packed with added benefits. Full of antioxidants some studies have found it is helpful in preventing some cancers and can aid weightloss too.
2. Chew your food slowly
An old wives tale says we should chew our mouthfuls of food at least 30 times. This helps to break down the food better in our mouth, which can speed up the digestion process and will help our metabolism. Because of this it can also prevent bloating and feeling “heavy” after meals.
3. Wake up 30 minutes earlier
Waking up a little bit earlier helps you to mentally prepare for your day. Whatever you do in those 30 minutes, they help you to feel more productive throughout the day.
4. Stretch when you wake up
Stretching when you wake up every day is hugely beneficial for your flexibility and blood flow. By stimulating the muscles your body will feel looser and you are less likely to encounter pain while you’re going about your normal activities. Below is a great youtube video that can help you find some stretches for the whole body.
5. Take the stairs, not the lift
Walk, walk and walk some more. Walking is the cheapest, easiest and fastest way to get more exercise into your day. By making little changes like walking an extra block to work or taking the stairs instead of the lift you’ll help to keep your heart and muscles healthy.
6. Give more compliments
This one will make you feel fabulous. Pay someone a compliment every single day. By spreading love and making other people happy, you’ll start to feel happier too!
