Urinary incontinence is a common condition that affects one in four Australians.
While it can happen to anyone, this condition causing involuntary bladder leakage is more common in older people, especially women. In fact, 80 per cent of people living with urinary incontinence are women.
This can be the cause of much embarrassment and worry for women over 60, fearing an accident could happen when they’re not prepared, resulting in a loss of confidence.
For too long women have had to put up with wearing uncomfortable incontinence pads to keep them protected from any accidents. But, they can feel like you’re wearing a nappy, bulky and uncomfortable, and often making you feel a lot older than you actually are.
Now, thanks to Boody’s leak-proof undies, you can take back your confidence in comfort, while feeling like you’re wearing regular underwear.

Crafted with organically grown bamboo for optimal comfort, and featuring an innovative gusset design, you can wave goodbye to those bulky, uncomfortable incontinence pads.
So, how do they work? Each pair of underwear uses built-in technology, creating the perfect gusset that holds liquid and keeps you feeling dry:
All these layers work together to keep you feeling comfortable and secure. They even have natural odour-controlling properties, allowing you to have full confidence back as you go about your day.
First things first, Boody recommends washing your undies before your first wear to help activate the technology in the gusset.
To ensure you get the most out of your new, leak-proof underwear, follow these instructions after each wear:
Step 1: Rinse your underwear in cold water as soon as possible after wear.
Step 2: Place in a washbag (not essential but this will help your undies last), then wash on a cold cycle – no hotter than 30 degrees. Avoid soaking or using bleach.
Step 3: Line dry your undies only. This is recommended so that your undies can soak up the sun’s antimicrobial properties. Avoid tumble drying and ironing.
Tip: If you’re someone who likes to use fabric softener, Boody recommends skipping this step for their leak-proof underwear, labelling fabric softener as your “undies worst enemy”. This is because it leaves a water-proof film over the gusset, preventing the absorbent technology in the underwear from doing its job properly.

Boody’s leak-proof underwear comes in two levels:
Once you’ve chosen your absorbancy level, you can choose between a full brief or bikini style, whatever you like best. When it comes to sizing, it’s recommended that you stick to your normal underwear size for the waistband.
But, don’t worry, if you order the wrong size or absorbency level, Boody offers a 30-day trial where you can receive a full refund if you’re not happy with your purchase.
