About Dr Farshad Kasraei and Dr Joseph Bucci
Dr Farshad Kasraei
Dr Farshad Kasraei is a post graduate radiation oncology fellow at St. George Hospital. He completed his radiation oncology training in the South Sydney Network of teaching hospitals. Dr Kasraei is a conjoint lecturer at University of New South Wales with a main clinical and research focus in brachytherapy. He’s also an executive member of Australian Brachytherapy Group.
Dr Joseph Bucci
Dr Joseph Bucci is a Senior Radiation Oncology staff specialist at the St. George Hospital Cancer Care Centre in Sydney. He originally trained in prostate brachytherapy at the British Columbia Cancer Agency in Vancouver.
Dr Bucci is active in the area of prostate brachytherapy and together with his colleagues, he’s established the first publicly funded prostate seed brachytherapy program in Sydney, alongside a prostate HDR program at St. George Public and Private Hospitals.
Dr Bucci is the former chairman of the Australian Brachytherapy Group and currently holds the position of deputy chair. He is a conjoint senior lecturer at the University of New South Wales and University of Wollongong.
