Princess Mary shares gorgeous pic of new pup

Princess Mary loves the Collie breed.

Losing a beloved family pet is hard on everyone and it seems the Danish royal family are no exception.

Three months ago, their dog Ziggy tragically passed but the family has taken to social media to share another happy snap of their latest addition.

The new pup, who they’ve named Grace, is already a firm favourite among the family and the public and has taken social media by storm.

According to the caption on the official Instagram account, the picture was captured in the Fredensborg Castle Garden.

The grand castle that can be seen in the background of the photo is one of the favoured residences of the Danish royal family.

The brown and white border collie puppy was first welcomed into the family last month but has already made herself comfortable with the royals.

Not surprisingly, Ziggy and Grace are of close relation which shows Mary and Frederick’s love of the collie breed and it looks like Grace is already having the same impact on the family.

Mary has had her hands full in the last few weeks not only with the new addition but also with Prince Christian and Princess Isabella’s first day of school.

The pair were snapped on the official Instagram several days earlier looking adorable in their new uniforms.

Princess Mary was allegedly in Hobart, according to a social media post by Lisa Wilkinson, but the Aussie TV-host deleted the post when it became apparent that Mary was in fact still in Denmark with her family.
