Prince Harry joined thousands of people to sing the national anthem, dedicated to his grandmother the Queen, ahead of a rugby match.

The royal could be seen belting out the well-known words to the British song ‘God Save The Queen’, at the start of the Six Nations international rugby union match between England and Wales.

Wrapping up against the cold in a thick coat, and dressed up in a suit and tie, Harry made sure he stood out as he joined the chorus. He looked in great spirits, and shared a laugh with his friends as he watched the players take to the pitch.

Kensington Palace shared a photo of him clapping on Instagram, and wrote: “Amazing day of Rugby today! Prince Harry, Patron of @englandrugby cheered on England’s victorious men’s and women’s teams in the Six Nations at Twickenham.”

His future wife Meghan Markle wasn’t by his side on this occasion, choosing to stay home after the pair have made a series of public appearances together over recent months.

The couple will tie the knot in the grounds of Windsor Castle this May, and Harry’s sister-in-law Catherine couldn’t be more excited.

Prince William’s wife shared her excitement with crowds while visiting a new addiction treatment centre in Wickford on Wednesday. When a person in the crowd asked the pregnant Duchess if she was looking forward seeing Prince Harry and Meghan tie the knot she answered: “Yes, and now we have two with Eugenie’s!” She added, “it’s very exciting” with a beaming smile.

The Duchess, who is patron of Action on Addiction, was there to officially open the addiction treatment centre and talk addiction experts about their community-based recovery programme, Clouds in the Community.

Crowds gathered to get a glimpse of the royal and her growing bump. Catherine is due to have her baby sometime in April; just in time for the wedding on May 19 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

This chapel is set to be used again on October 19 for Princess Eugenie’s marriage to fiance Jack Brooksbank. And it isn’t the first time the Duchess has told the public of her excitement at attending a royal wedding.

The royal made the statement to reporters after a visit to the Foundling Hospital and Art Gallery in December 2017, saying she was “absolutely thrilled” when she was told of her brother-in-law’s engagement to Megan Markle.
