Excited Catherine talks royal wedding fever ahead of Harry’s big day

Kate is reportedly very excited about both the weddings.

The Duchess of Cambridge may have a lot on her plate, but that hasn’t stopped her revelling in royal wedding fever just like the rest of us.

Catherine shared her excitement with crowds while visiting a new addiction treatment centre in Wickford on Wednesday. When a person in the crowd asked the pregnant Duchess if she was looking forward seeing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot she answered: “Yes, and now we have two with Eugenie’s!” She added, “it’s very exciting” with a beaming smile.

Catherine, who spent last week on a tour of Scandinavia with Prince William, looked stunning in a blue suede jacket that showed her growing baby bump. She kept warm by wearing black tights paired with black heels.

While the day mostly went smoothly, Kate was caught in a slight fashion mishap when her heel became stuck in a grate as she made her way inside. Bending down slightly awkwardly because of her baby bump, she managed to wiggle the heel free and, graceful as ever, laughed it off and continued with her greetings.

The Duchess, who is patron of Action on Addiction, was there to officially open the addiction treatment centre and talk addiction experts about their community-based recovery programme, Clouds in the Community.

Crowds gathered to get a glimpse of the royal and her growing bump. Catherine is due to have her baby sometime in April; just in time for Prince Harry and Megan Markle’s wedding on May 19 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

This chapel is set to be used again on October 19 for Princess Eugenie’s marriage to fiance Jack Brooksbank.

It isn’t the first time the Duchess has told the public of her excitement at attending a royal wedding.

The royal made the statement to reporters after a visit to the Foundling Hospital and Art Gallery in December 2017, saying she was “absolutely thrilled” when she was told of her brother-in-law’s engagement to Megan Markle.

Details of the upcoming weddings have been kept under wraps but many Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding could be televised. There are also rumours that they are eager to involve the public.

Are you excited about the royal weddings? Will you be tuning in to watch if they are televised?
