Prince Albert of Monaco has spoken exclusively to French magazine Point De Vue regarding Princess Charlene who has been stuck in South Africa for months, unwell, and away from her children.

Discussing Charlene’s health and her expected date back, Albert was excited to announce that Charlene is likely to be home by the National Holiday on November 19.

“She is much better. This last operation which concerned the nasal septum went very well,” Prince Albert said.

“We will be able to consider her return very soon. And I can tell you that she will be in Monaco long before the national holiday. It is not possible for me to give you the exact date, but I promise you will know when the time comes.”

How exciting. Charlene’s return comes after an incidentally long trip to South Africa after Charlene was grounded due to an evolving illness.

Rumours swirled during Charlene’s absence, with suggestions that her trip to South Africa was a cover for an argument or discontent in her marriage, with Prince Albert confirming these rumours were fake, saying “She didn’t go into exile. It was absolutely just a medical problem which had to be treated.”

Albert also stated that he was frustrated with the persistence of such rumours, saying “I was concentrating on taking care of the kids,” he told PEOPLE. “I thought it would just probably go [away]. You know if you try to answer everything that comes out then you’re constantly [responding], you’re wasting your time.”

Speaking on a podcast before her operation, Charlene explained the situation “I came to South Africa to oversee some foundation projects,” she said. “I was unwell at the time, unknowingly, and I had an infection which was addressed immediately.”

“Unfortunately, it grounded me for some months here in South Africa. I’ve had my one procedure, it was very successful and I’m feeling much stronger.

“I have one more procedure and then I cannot wait to get home to my children who I miss terribly and I think if there is any mum out there who has been separated from her children for months will feel the same way that I feel.”
