If you’ve cruised on Carnival Cruise Line, you’ll know that great food is a focus for the line, but Carnival’s really upping the ante for its newest and biggest Australian ship.

Carnival Cruise Line has now revealed the much-anticipated dining options onboard Carnival Splendor ahead of her arrival in Australia this December. Four new restaurants for the Australian market will be available on the ship, including Fahrenheit 555, Masala Tiger, Pizzeria del Capitano and Seafood Shack.

If you love steakhouse-style dining, you can head to Fahrenheit 555, for fine dining in an intimate and upscale atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the finest aged beef, seared to perfection, among some of the best cuts of mouth-watering steaks. Fahrenheit 555 is the ideal venue for a celebration or indulging in a romantic evening, however this upscale steakhouse comes at an additional charge.

Home-made pizzas made with fresh mozzarella and delectable toppings, it’s safe to say it can’t get any better than this. If you have a love affair with delicious Italian food, then Pizzeria del Capitano, which pays homage to the Italian heritage, will no doubt become your new favourite dining spot on Carnival Splendor.

If you have a craving for spicy dishes packed with flavour, then you would definitely love Masala Tiger, a modern twist on a traditional Indian restaurant. The menu offers an elective mix of chargrilled meats and vegetables, curries and of course fresh naan bread — and the best part is, the menu changes daily and is included in the cruise fare! Masala Tiger will be located in the peaceful adults only Serenity Retreat, also featuring a nearby bar and the Carnival Deli.

It’s hard to beat the flavour and versatility of fresh seafood. Seafood Shack is a New England-style seaside spot, where guests can tuck into a lobster BLT, a tasty serving of fish and chips or slurp an oyster down or two. However, this seaside eatery comes at an additional charge.

In addition, a number of favourites will also be offered onboard including poolside burger shack Gary’s Burger Joint and Lido Restaurant, which offers a variety of casual dining options like Chef’s Choice, Salad Bar and the Carnival Deli.

“Delicious dining is a core part of every guest’s cruise holiday experience. While planning for Carnival Splendor’s entry into the Australian market; fresh, delicious and varied dining options was top of our list,” Carnival Cruise Line’s Vice President Jennifer Vandekreeke said in a statement.

“The arrival of Carnival Splendor will offer our Australian guests more dining experiences than ever before. The ship will be jam-packed with delicious international flavours tailored for the Australian market and local favourites. What’s not to love about tasty poolside burgers, mouth-watering steak cooked to your liking, hot fish and chips or fresh naan and tandoor skewers that burst with flavour?”

Carnival Splendor, standing at 290 metres long, with 13 decks and capacity for 3,000 cruisers, also offers a variety of activities and entertainment on-board. From karaoke to mini golf, and from spa treatments to art exhibitions, Carnival Splendor has something for everyone whether you’re travelling solo or with the family.
