Prince William and Catherine have marked their youngest son Prince Louis’ christening with a series of intimate and natural photos with their closest family members.

The parents of three shared loving glances with their children as they were surrounded by their own parents and siblings following the church ceremony, all beaming with happiness at Clarence House shortly after leaving the Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace.

Catherine took centre stage as she cradled the newborn in her arms, wearing a slim-fitting cream dress and medieval-style headband. In one photo, she’s seen smiling down at her son – who’s wrapped up in his royal gown for the day out.

Meanwhile, more photos show her sitting alongside her husband and children Prince George and Princess Charlotte. While Charlotte has her attention solely on her baby brother, George shows a rare playful side and flashes a huge grin to photographer Matt Holyoak.

They’re then joined by William’s father Prince Charles and wife Camilla, his brother Prince Harry and his new wife Meghan, as well as Catherine’s parents, sister Pippa along with her new husband James Matthews, and her brother James.

This time, the whole group are looking right at the camera with the men in smart suits while the women all opt for creams and light colours for the relaxed shoot. Meghan stands out alongside her new family in a deep olive green dress and matching fascinator, while Pippa and her mother Carole opt for hats.

The fourth and final photo shows William and Catherine stood alone with their three children in front of a plain white background. While delighted mum Catherine smiles down at her son, William keeps a protective arm round George and Charlotte in front of him.

Louis wore the same beautiful christening gown that his big brother and sister wore on their own christening days, designed by Angela Kelly, dressmaker to the Queen.

The satin and lace gown is a handmade replica of the original royal christening robe, which was made in 1841 for the christening of Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter, Victoria, Princess Royal.

The Queen, 92, and Prince Philip, 97, were notably absent as it was confirmed they were unable to attend the christening service due to their busy royal schedules.
