English star Samantha Fox, who rose to fame in the 1980s as a glamour model and singer, has made some shocking claims against the late David Cassidy.

Speaking to Daily Star Sunday, the 51-year-old accused the Partridge Family star of sexual assault.

She alleged that the incident occurred in a bathroom of a restaurant after Cassidy asked her to appear in one of his music videos in the 1980s.

Fox said that the 70s-icon touched her inappropriately and that she was shocked by the incident.

“I had a big poster of David Cassidy on my wall and I used to kiss him every night before going to bed,” she said to Daily Star Sunday.

“When he grabbed me and pushed his tongue down my throat, I just kneed him in the b*****ks and would still do that today.”

The incident allegedly occurred in 1985.

She also spoke of how he acted inappropriately towards her when they filmed the clip for his single, ‘Romance’.

“In that moment, the handsome, sweet guy from The Partridge Family had transformed into a first-class creep who wasn’t worth the risk of a stretch in prison.”

Shortly after the interview was published, she took to Twitter to explain that she always intended on going public with her allegations against Cassidy.

“Just to let you all know, my book was completed a year ago,” she said.

“I am not jumping on the band wagon! R.i.P. David Cassidy Love Samantha.”

Fans of Cassidy were quick to blast Fox on social media for selling the story so many years after the alledged incident took place.

One person wrote: “The accusation is sick and sad. To accuse a dead person is cowardly and offensive to real victims.”

Another comment read: “What an empty life. 32 years ago he made a pass at you. You rebuffed it. Now you’re getting notoriety from a dead person. You are a sad woman.”

Still, some people backed Fox’s claims.

One fan said: “Always with you, Sam,” while another simply said: “ImWithSam.”

Fox added: “My book is so much more than this story, but the press obviously picked up on that chapter as it’s so topical at the moment.”
