Australia’s Best Beach for 2016 revealed

Australia is truly a blessed country when it comes to beaches.  Each year beaches fight for the right to be called the “best beach” in the country.  With the announcement made on Channel Nine’s Today program.

The magazine Australian Traveler named The Kimberley as the must travel destination for Australians but Whitehaven in the Whitsundays has won Best Beach for 2016!

Whitehaven Beach is a 7-kilometre stretch that offers crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, and access to some of the best spots in Queensland.

Congratulations to Queensland for being a major win for a lot of the people’s choice destinations for holidays.  Queensland also scored another nod with Burleigh Heads winning the ideal destination for families.
