It’s only been two months since Sylvia Jeffreys gave birth, but the Today Extra presenter is looking great. The 35-year-old and her journalist husband Peter Stefanovic, 39, welcomed their second child, Henry, into the world on April 2. Henry’s big brother is one-year-old Oscar.

While Sylvia’s home life may be a bit chaotic at the moment, the news presenter, who’s currently on maternity leave, showed no signs of exhaustion as she stepped out in a striking black-and-red ensemble on Monday for Australian Fashion Week in Sydney.

For the event, Sylvia looked every bit the fashionista in a stylish long-sleeved ruby-red knit, black pants and a matching black blazer with golden star-shaped buttons. She finished off the elegant look with a black cross-body bag and matching heels.

Friends and fans of Sylvia’s were quick to comment on the new photo, with fellow news presenter Lisa Wilkinson saying, “Gorgeous! And not a single trace of no sleep.” Nine News reporter Natalia Cooper wrote, “Look at you, hot mama xxx.” While one Instagram user said, “You look great, Sylvia.”

Ahead of the event, according to the website Now To Love, the mother-of-two shared a series of Instagram stories of herself getting ready, and we’re sure most mums could relate. One video story showed Sylvia applying a generous amount of concealer under her eyes, with little Henry strapped to her chest.

Sylvia’s sister-in-law Jasmine Yarbrough, who’s married to Peter’s older brother Karl Stefanovic, was also snapped at the same Rebecca Vallance fashion show on Monday. She wore a flowy, long-sleeved black dress, with black boots and a black Gucci bag.

The stylish sisters-in-law had their firstborns around the same time last year, with Sylvia and Peter welcoming Oscar in February and Jasmine and Karl welcoming Harper a few months later in May 2020.

Sylvia previously revealed she never had plans to have her children so close together, telling Now To Love in February this year, “The second time around it was … spontaneous, I’d say. We hadn’t planned to go down that path so soon, but having had not an entirely easy path the first time around, you can’t be anything but thankful or grateful to have fallen pregnant this way.”
