Catherine is gorgeous in green at portrait gallery gala

The Duchess of Cambridge looked absolutely gorgeous in a forest green gown at a glamorous dinner event at London’s National Portrait Gallery.

Catherine wore a floor-length, lace-covered gown by Temperley London, matched with a pair of gold Jimmy Choo heels, the Daily Mail reported. Although Temperley and Jimmy Choo are known for their pricey numbers, the Duchess’s clutch bag was a relatively more modest $318 gold one by Wilbur & Gussie.

Her shiny brunette locks were styled in loose curls, and she wore her engagement ring with clear gloss on her nails.

Prince William wasn’t in attendance at the 2017 Portrait Gala event, but Catherine was likely to feel right at home while hosting the event, as she studied art history at university and is the patron of the historic gallery.

Her own portrait has been on show at the gallery as part of the Vogue 100: A Century of Style exhibition that celebrated the magazine’s centennial celebrations.

Funds raised by the dinner will be used to assist the Coming Home project that takes portraits of people back to places that were specific to them during their lives, including sending portraits of the Bronte sisters to Yorkshire and of David Beckham to Essex.

Other celebrities at the dinner included fashionista Alexa Chung (below, in polkadots),  and former tabloid favourite Nancy Dell’Olio (below, in white lace).

Do you like the Duchess’s gown? Have you ever had the opportunity to wear a glamorous dress like that?
