As the world mourns the shocking terrorist attack on a pop concert in Manchester, British Prime Minister Theresa May has taken the unprecedented step of raising the country’s terror threat to the highest level.

She said that armed forces would be visible at big events around the country such as sporting matches and concerts.

It’s only the third time Britain’s terror level has been at critical.

Overnight, Prime Minister May announced the name of the suspected attacker, a 22-year-old Manchester born man Salman Abedi, who was killed in the blast.

A second man suspected of being involved in the attack has been arrested, and Ms May is warning there could be a wider network of people involved.

Islamic State have claimed responsibility for the attack which has killed 22 people, including an eight-year-old girl, and left 59 injured.
