As news breaks of tragedy in Manchester after an explosion at pop star Ariana Grande concert has reportedly killed up to 20 people and injured dozens more, social media has been flooded with heartbreaking images of young people as friends and family desperately try to find out if they’re okay.
Police attended after reports of an explosion at the Manchester Arena, where footage posted to Twitter shows hundreds fleeing.
Local police have released a statement saying that they were called to reports of an explosion just before 10.35pm on Monday at Manchester Arena. They say that so far, 19 people have been confirmed dead, and around 50 others injured. The incident is currently being treated as a terrorist incident.

The concert was filled with mostly teens and young fans of Grande, and footage of the aftermath shows scenes of chaos as emergency services flock to the dead and injured.
Family and friends of concert attendees are desperately trying to find their loved ones and confirm that they’re not injured or worse, while hotels and local establishments are rallying and offering shelter for anyone affected by the disaster unfolding.
