Barossa shiraz from a single vineyard in the small sub-region of Ebenezer. The vines are low-yielding, the yeast is wild and the bunches are whole (well 25% at least). The Five Star producer behind this wine was seeking texture and layered complexity, not just raw power. It ranges the fruit spectrum from blackberry to plum with heaps of spicy notes thrown in. Crunchy tannins finish it off, making for a compelling drink that lingers on the palate for ages.
Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 it is an offence:
– to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years (penalty exceeds $8,000).
– for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase or receive liquor (penalty exceeds $700)
