Pear & Marsala Jam. This naturally sweet and luscious Pear Jam is combined beautifully and intriguingly with Marsala. Marsala is made in Sicily, in the city of Marsala. It’s a naturally sweet, fortified wine with woody, subtle molasses-like flavours, which come from being aged in oak casks. The woodsy flavour of Marsala also goes very well with pears. We here at Quincey Jones Preserves use a well ripened Williams pear known for its soft, creamy and sweet taste. Both combine to create something better than the sum of its parts. Just as our customers come to expect from the creative QJJ combinations.
While fantastic on a crusty sourdough, we think this jam would be equally good as a topping to morning oats or vanilla ice cream or scones with cream. We know you will fall in love with this unique and creative combination of flavours.
As with all our products, this is Gluten Free and Vegan. We are All Natural and use no added artificial preservatives, colouring or additives. Our preserves are made fresh with seasonal fruit, low sugar and have a best before of one year; just best to keep in the fridge after opening. We find these products taste so fresh and great that most people will consume them within a month or two. For some though it can be even quicker 🙂
