Our Knot Top is hitting the beach with style! It is Es Una’s version of the traditional rashie top – but without being skin tight. Our Knot Top is a relaxed fit and can be worn over bathers in a longer or shorter style, tied in a knot. It has raw edges around the bottom, making it more flexible and easy to tie. It is longer at the front and shorter at the back.
When you go for a swim, tie it up so that it doesn’t float around you. The neck trim is in a contrasting colour.
There is nothing more uplifting than buying something new and going down a size, especially swimwear, so we have designed our garments to be a more generous fit. Our Knot Top comes in three sizes, starting with an S (around AU 8 – 12), M (around 12 – 16) and L (up to AU 22). It is a relaxed fit.
Our models are Elise and Helen. Elise wears the Black and Protea Knot Tops and wears Es Una size S (she is normally AU 10). Helen is a size 8 – 10 is Australian women’s sizing and also wears Es Una size S.
Es Una’s range is about confidence – wearing something that lifts your spirits, showcasing the parts of your body that you love. We’re not about body size, we’re about real women seeking a life of style without compromise. Feeling comfortable about how you look is important, but looking good for a life with no boundaries is the goal! Our designs support you to take on Summer; looking and feeling beach-ready beautiful.

High tech fabric
Our fabric is 100% regenerated fibre, comprising 78% recycled nylon and 22% Xtra Life Lycra®. It has been tested by the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency, receiving an ultra violet protection factor (UPF) rating of 50+. This means it is in the ‘excellent’ protection category, reducing solar ultraviolet radiation (UVR) when it covers your skin. You can be confident that you’re making a sun smart decision when you wear Es Una to the beach, pool or as resort wear.
One of the reasons our fabric can protect your skin is that it is a thick Lycra® to shield against sunburn and sun damage. This means that it is also less likely to cling and hug your curves in ways you’d wish it rather didn’t! It’s also quick drying and five times more chlorine resistant than average spandex.
Like any swimwear garment (rashie, rash vest, rash guard, swim dress or bathers), the more careful you are with washing, the longer it will last. Your goal is to retain the fabric’s original quality for as long as possible.
We recommend cold hand wash or gentle machine wash with mild detergent. Line dry out of direct sunlight. Full care instructions are on the garment label.
