Nicole Kidman glows in ’70s-inspired gold at Country Music Awards
Nicole Kidman has stayed away from the red carpet in recent months, but she ramped up the style stakes in a bold statement for this year’s Country Music Awards on Sunday.
The 50-year-old glowed on the carpet in a glitzy, gold floor-length gown, that revealed her very toned back thanks to its backless design. Nicole’s ensemble also featured a high neck and long sleeves, adding a touch of 1970s flair.
The star swept her golden locks into an effortless bun, with several strands left out to frame her face, and opted for a natural makeup to complete the look.
The Big Little Lies actress was at the awards to support her country-singer husband Keith Urban, and the loved-upped couple posed hand-in-hand for photos throughout the evening.

Keith, 50, wore a casual black T-shirt, grey blazer, ripped jeans and standout red-soled suede boots. The country singer was nominated for two awards on the night, Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, but unfortunately went home empty handed.
Nicole uploaded a happy snap from the night to Instagram with the caption: “Backstage at the #ACMawards with my hubby and @juliamichaels #ComingHome #GraffitiU”.
Fans were quick to comment with one saying, “you and Keith look gorgeous as always!! Love you guys,” while another added, “you look so beautiful Nicole”. A third wrote,”what a lucky guy Keith is!! You look golden & beautiful Nic!”.
The actress also uploaded a fun video of her dancing while getting ready for the awards night.
Last month, Keith spilled on the little things that makes his marriage to Nicole work. Speaking at the 2018 SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, he said he always made time to see his wife and family, despite their often busy schedules.

“I just don’t want to be away from her for two weeks or a week,” Eyewitness News reports the star saying at the event. “We try and schedule pretty much everything so that we’re not away from each other for more than a hand full of days.”
The star even said that he happily packs up and moves to the other side of the world if it means he gets to spend more time with his wife. “Even when she was shooting Lion in Australia, we just relocated down to Tassie for a few days and wherever else we had to go so we just stay together as a family it’s really important to us.”
