Now that’s a fire

An oil well bursts into flames in Texas. It’s a tremendous fire with flames shooting out over 2,000 feet into the sky. The governor posts a $1,000,000 reward to any fire company who can put it out.

Fire trucks from all the major cities drive down, but even with their best efforts, nobody can get close. All, it seems, is lost.

Finally, on the sixth day, a pumper truck from the small town in Arkansas arrives, blows past all the other hapless fire companies, and proceeds to drive within mere feet of the flames! Four brave firemen tumble out. The flames are intense as they equally spray down the fire and each other until, miraculously, they manage to beat back the flames and cap the well.

A week later at the ceremony for the heroes, the governor hands them a large check and asks what they will do with the money. The captain steps up to the mic and says- “Well, sir, I believe the first thing we’ll do is fix the brakes on that damn truck!”
