School holidays are almost upon us, and if you’re lucky enough to be on babysitting duty while mum and dad work, we’ve got the perfect activity to do with the little angels in the kitchen, and you can eat with them afterwards!

How adorable are these little ice cream bowls made from brownie mixture? They not only look and taste great, but they make an edible bowl which means no washing up afterwards!

To make them, you’re going to need one package of brownie mixture, or if you have one you prefer to make from scratch that’s fine too, some cooking spray, and two 12 cup muffin tins, both the same size.

First, preheat your oven and prepare the brownie batter according to the recipe of package instructions. Spray one of the muffin tin’s cups with cooking spray, then divide the mixture evenly between the cups.

Now you need to spray the bottom side of the other muffin tin and gently place it on top of the batter tin, pressing down carefully until you can see that the batter is level with the tops of the cups.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, before removing from the oven. It is important to let the brownies and tins cool completely before gently lifting the top tin off and removing them.

Serve up with ice cream and some favourite toppings!
