After leaving school in his mid teens, Kim Hewett completed an apprenticeship in the printing industry, then later went on to graduate with degrees in English/Linguistics/Mass Media and Sociology. He has since published a social history memoir called Out With the Boys: the Sharpie Days, and currently works as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language
