About Colin Howell

Colin, and his wife, Jo, are semi-retired caravanners on a SKI (spending the kids’ inheritance) holiday. They jumped in the deep end when buying their first caravan — driving to Brisbane in June 2016 to start what was to be 12 months of research. They purchased a caravan at their first annual show and drove it 5,000km back to Tasmania in March 2017. Since then, Colin and Jo have clocked up more than 25,000km around mainland Australia and their home state of Tasmania. It has given them a great wealth of material and knowledge about caravan travel. Through the highlights (and a couple of lowlights) they have learned from the good and the bad when it comes to gear and tech aimed at the ‘grey nomad’ sector.
