About Anne George

Anne George was born and bred in Brisbane. She is the eldest of five siblings and mother of three grown up children and one grandson. Anne worked in Catholic education for 41 years in both primary and secondary schools as a teacher, curriculum leader and assistant principal before retiring in 2018. She enjoys watching and playing netball, travel, reading and cooking. Anne loves to support out Queensland Firebirds and Sunshine Coast Lightning; her favourite player is Steph Wood. In retirement, enjoying the opportunity to be involved in voluntary work in the local community, catching up with friends, spending time with grandson and going on road trips to explore new places.
