A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
“Mr Smith, can a whale really swallow a human?” the little girl asked.
“It is physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human,” Mr Smith said. “Even though it is a large mammal, it has a very small throat.”
“But Jonah was swallowed by a whale in the Bible,” the girl said.
“The Bible must have been mistaken,” Mr Smith said. “It’s just impossible for a human to be swallowed by a whale.”
“Fine,” the girl said. “When I get to heaven, I’ll ask Jonah what happened.”
“And what if Jonah went to hell?” Mr Smith asked cheekily.
“Then you ask him!”
