Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney reunite in sweet photo

The two Beatles are still friends after all these years.

It’s been nearly eight years since they last sang together, but it appears Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr could be getting ready to release new music together.

Ringo posted a photo overnight of himself and Paul posing in together following a studio session.

The pair are smiling for the camera with their arms wrapped around each other, seemingly in mid conversation, in one of two photos uploaded to Ringo’s Instagram account.

“Thanks for coming over man and playing Great bass. I love you man peace and love,” Ringo wrote under the first photo.

In the second image, the pair are giving the peace sign as they pose with guitarist Joe Walsh. “And look out @joewalshofficial out to play what a day I’m having peace and love,” said Ringo.

It’s been 47 years since The Beatles broke up, with Paul making the official announcement in April 1970. Seven months earlier, John Lennon had told the band he was leaving, but they decided to keep it quiet until the rest of the group decided what they wanted to do.

John was tragically killed by a gunman in 1980, while George Harrison sadly passed away in 2001. It seems the two remaining members are closer than ever though, with Paul and Ringo regularly seen catching up together with their wives.
