Melania Trump and Brigitte Macron have fashion showdown in Brussels

They’re the wives of two of the most powerful men in the world, they both have a more than 20-year age difference to their husbands and now Melania Trump and Brigitte Macron have found they have something else in common – a sense of style.

The two powerful and glamorous first ladies have met for the first time in Brussels while their husbands attended the NATO summit.

It was certainly a fashion showdown, with both ladies putting their most stylish foot forward for the event.

The two first ladies met during a tour of a museum in Brussels alongside the other first ladies, and the husband of Luxembourg’s openly gay prime minister.

Melania wore a beige leather skirt-suit by a Belgian designer, with a pair of matching snake skin shoes.

Brigitte on the other hand wore a black mini dress by French fashion house Louis Vuitton – the same designer who made the infamous suit she wore to her husband’s inauguration.

The pair were snapped talking and laughing and discussing their outfits while touring the gallery.

While Brigitte and most of the other ladies continued to the next official function in the same outfits, Melania had a change of clothing.

She turned up for the official photos of the first ladies and first gentleman in an ankle-length, off-the-shoulder black lacy dress with a pair of matching strappy black heels.
