Gift fails? Nope, these grandmas know far more than they’re letting on

You spent a lot of evenings knitting a gorgeous scarf for your grandson and now you imagine it keeping him snug on chilly mornings.

Instead, he’s been busy posting a picture of it on the internet as a “grandma gift fail.”

Humour site Boredpanda has a long stream of photos from contributors of loving gifts from their grandmothers that missed the mark, including huge scarves, bright berets, old TVs and, err, a book about guinea pigs.

Here’s some of the best, or worst, complete with the poster’s caption. As Boredpanda says: “They might not always get it right, but hey, it’s the thought that counts…even if that thought resulted in a red knitted nose-warmer.” 

We think some of these grandmas know far more than they letting on!
