Barnaby Joyce to Pauline Hanson: You’re ‘bat-poo crazy’

The Nationals leader had some strong words for Pauline Hanson.

Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce has branded comments made Pauline Hanson has “bat-poo crazy” following her call for Australia to vaccinate itself against Muslims.

Following the terror attacks in London yesterday, the One Nation leader called for a ban on Muslim immigration to Australia. Today she backed up her call, saying Islam was a disease Australia needs to vaccinate itself against.

Joyce was quick to denounce her comments, saying people are not a disease and that her words were “bat-poo crazy”, reports The Sydney Morning Herald.

“This kind of stuff does not help anybody,” he said

“It was just stupid, it was plain dumb.

“I’ll try and put it really simply – I, on behalf of the Australian people, am very proud to be going to this place called Indonesia, the biggest Islamic country on Earth and we export to them massive amounts of wheat and massive amounts of cattle and I get along really well with them. We move a heap of product.

“And statements like that … the worst insults you could ever have in politics – they are not helpful.”

Last night, Hanson streamed a live video to her Facebook page where she asked people to ditch the popular sentiment #Pray4London making its way around social media and #Pray4Muslimban instead.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you agree with either of them?
