Amal Clooney shows off baby bump in feathered frock

After confirming her pregnancy a week ago, Amal Clooney has shown off her baby bump on the red carpet for the first time at a glamorous event in Paris.

George and Amal were attending the Cesar Awards in the French capital and while it was a star-studded affair, all eyes were on them as Amal walked the red carpet in a stunning feathered gown with her burgeoning bump on display.

The couple were pictured smiling and holding hands as they chatted with other guests and posed for photographers.

Amal’s gown was a custom-made Atelier Versace with blue and white feathers fanning out from below her hips.

While the pair stayed quiet on their baby news for the first few months, George couldn’t contain his excitement last week, telling French program Rencontres de Cinema he was ecstatic they had twins on the way.

“We are really happy and really excited. It’s going to be an adventure,” he said.

Adding the couple had “sort of embraced it all” with “arms wide open”.

It will be the first children for the couple, who are preparing to raise their young family in their home outside of London where Amal works as a Human Rights lawyer.

George’s best friend actor Matt Damon was the first to break the news of their pregnancy, with Matt laughing as he said he had to scold the first-time dad for telling him before Amal reached the 12 week mark.
