Jason Day is putting the world on notice

When isn’t it a great day for golf? Besides when it’s pouring with rain, there isn’t a day that wouldn’t be made better by stepping out on the green.

Australian golfer Jason Day is having one of those days as he’s putting on a golf clinic at the PGA Championship. The defending champ clocked out of his latest round of 65 at 7-under par. This places Jason in a tie for third place and only two shots behind the co-leaders Jimmy Walker and Robert Streb.

It was halfway though the second round that Jason really made his mark. He started the day with three birdies, a bogey, and the dreaded double bogey. On the 10th hole Jason shifted into another gear and sank an astonishing five birdies in seven holes. He had a scare on the 17th after hooking a shot but ended up parring on the hole.

Other Australians on the list are Adam Scott who is in a tie for 13th as well as John Senden and Scott Hend who are sitting at 2-under. However, it just isn’t going well for Rory Mcllroy who struggled to a 3-over at the end of the day.
