Did Donald Trump just take a hit out on Hillary Clinton? 10

The United States presidential campaign took an unusual turn as Donald Trump was heard to hint at the assassination of Hillary Clinton by supporters of gun rights.

He was speaking at a rally in North Carolina about the next president’s power to appoint supreme court justices and said, “If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks.” Then went on to add: “Although the second amendment people — maybe there is, I don’t know.”

In case you’re unfamiliar with the American Constitution, the second amendment protects the right of its citizens to bear arms.

It’s a particularly contentious part of the Constitution, what with all the gun violence that seems to occur in the US, and Trump has accused his Democratic rival of wanting to abolish it, a claim Clinton denies.

Whether or not Trump intentionally suggested violence towards Clinton is open to interpretation — and Starts at 60 would love to hear your views — but many have questioned the Republican candidate over his words.

Trump has also recently claimed that the presidential election might be ‘rigged’, which many have said is an attempt to undermine the United States’ basic democractic principles.

His communication adviser, Jason Miller, attempted to explain Trump’s comments saying: “It’s called the power of unification. Second amendment people have amazing spirit and are tremendously unified, which gives them great political power.” However, at least one person at the rally seemed to think Trump had taken things a bit too far.

    • I totally agree with you Susan like you I hope Trump WINS the election and becomes President and shows the do gooders it is time to put an end to the carnage. Sad that Americans are used and abused. Yes Trump is arrogant, rude and shocking but… he has the guts to shock people in to doing something positive for Americans and the world. Too many followers in this world and not enough LEADERS.

      • Yes, won’t it be wonderful. I can just see Trump kicking out all sorts of people who were born in America, ridiculing and shaming women even more than he has in the past. Insulting other world leaders, which could led to hostilities, won’t it be great for the world, especially if you are a rich white male. Heaven help you if you are not, but maybe some of these people are rich and white. I hope you get what you wished for and we will see how that goes for you and everyone else.

  4. Someone has to pull the USA out of the steep destructive dive it’s in and regrettably the talent field is lean. Trump may be the best of a bad bunch – Clinton is tainted and an Obama clone.
Given the power of the guns lobby, my more generous interpretation is they can use their power to overcome Clintons intention to stack the judiciary.
