Can you believe that this beautiful face of the American Apparel underwear campaign has been told by her own boyfriend as she neared sixty “You’re too old, I don’t want to be seen with you in public”.

Jacky O’Shaughnessy is a 62 year old actress and model who has learned over the years to be comfortable in her own skin.  But only just, and this interview with her will open up your heart.  She’s seen psychologists and counsellors to validate how she feels about herself and how it reflected in her life and her career.

This video will impress and inspire you that life can change gears in an instance, and that what happens in your past can change, and you can step forward into new times.

When are you going to be ok with a body that is a little bigger than you had liked or not the way you thought they should be?  All that time wasted caring about things that don’t matter… She tells of fifty years carrying the emotional worries about little things.  Do you feel the same way?

When do you feel most vulnerable… ?

When do you feel the most beautiful…?

If you could change a few things right now… would you?

This video should start a real open conversation about how you really feel about getting older.  About your body, about your own expectations, and about you…

  1. She is gorgeous, wonderful figure and well that guy was a sleeze ……………..that’s how they are in LA… Many a man would be very glad to be seen with her that’s for sure….

  2. wonderful and she is wonderful… wished my body was in such good shape… x

  3. I would say you’re too shallow, I don’t want to be seen with you ANYWHERE !!!!

    • She most certainly is not shallow – extraneous forces at work where women are concerned from the moment we are born – conditioned thinking on how we should be,what we should look like, how we should be seen to be acting, so on and so forth. Most of us, the sensitive ones at least, have been victim to it. I think she is just lovely and she certainly deserve better …

  4. Definitely not feeling vulnerable. Perhaps because of widowhood and remembering my husband was’nt here to see me grow old.

    • Widowhood is the pits. I wish my husband and I could have grown old together. When you are doing your best to look after yourself (but for who?) comments like this woman received from her a-hole “boyfriend” would be shattering.

  5. Bloody hell ! What a stunningly beautiful woman . I have been considering cutting my hair for a more age appropriate style , but hey ! Just changed my mind . I loved that video . Will think of it every time I’m unsure about buying something or wearing something if it’s “appropriate “. Thanks for posting it
