Natter at 60 is a new website brought to you by the Starts at 60 team designed to be “your special place” for conversation and community.  You can find it at

Essentially, it is a chatroom, with the ability to start a conversation on any topic at all, or join a conversation on something you are interested in. And it is all for over 60s. We have created this environment so it is very easy to use, and empowers you to drive the conversation.

You can post anything you like from blogs and poetry, style tips, photos, recipes, rants or funnies. You can post your travel stories, nomadding stories, or gardening pictures, or perhaps pictures of the craft you are doing right now.

Other over 60s can read anything here and you can reply to anything too. You can “follow” topic or categories you are particularly interested in and receive digests from them via email regularly, just by setting up your preferences.

It links very closely with social media, allowing you to share your posts and articles widely on Facebook, Twitter and other places or not at all if you only want other over 60s here to see them.

Natter at 60 is very easy to use, and we’ve kicked it off with a range of categories and starting topics that we know from our fun on Starts at 60, you are really passionate about. You can add images, videos and links to things all over the internet to make your posts entertaining and rich with information.

  1. This is just what our group needs. Looking forward to being a regular participant.

  3. Congratulations Rebecca – you are amazing!! I look forward to contributing when I get myself organised after my trip. All the very best xx

  4. Hi I follow your daily page whenever I can, I find it both interesting and stimulating. I am well into my 70’s but still lead a fairly active life both in business (in a small way, and in my gardens, several acres, and in my personal life), in The Bay Of plenty. New Zealand.
I have trouble with the web page which continually freezes on me whenever I open a specific item. which is frustrating. The strange thing is that when I follow it on my I Phone I have no problem, if any one has a suggestion, I would like to hear it.
    Regards Peter Ferris

  5. As long as we’re all not bombarded with “spam mail” – which often happens as the site comes up with ” not a safe site ” – this is how you make your money isn’t it Rebecca ? – selling on our email addresses !
Unless we all have anti- scam schemes set on, you will continue it.
Shame on you to deliberately try to gain money from older people – is this how you get your kicks out of life – by trying to fool the rest of us ?
You need to realise that many of us ” elderly people ” do still have excellent brain power & can see the wood from the trees.
To everyone else here, please be aware that the site is not safe & you may find yourselves receiving many unwanted, & potentially damaging emails that you should NOT open.
I used to love this site – but now I am extremely wary. I have tried to contact directly, but there is never any answers.

    Just be careful everybody.

    • Oh Gosh! I’m an absolute klutz with any sort of technology and the only way I can learn apparently is by making mistakes. This is probably one of them. If, by some miracle, I’ve reached someone out there, could you just write a few words to me so I’ll know if I’m on the right track. Sigh…..

    • You have a right to be cautious, but there is no need to be so impolite in the manner you have verbalised it, Mr. Terri Rice.

  6. Hi Terri – Rebecca the Founder and CEO of Starts at 60 here. We always always reply to emails. We are an incredibly safe site! We have a tier one privacy policy and terms of use that are absolutely second to none. We refuse to work with many dodgy-looking companies (including rejecting funeral insurance ads which many other publishers keenly do run). We only ever send emails from our own email system; never ever releasing anyones data at all nor “selling” it! Please take my response as very personal. We are a small business based in Brisbane which has the ultimate respect for over 60s. I understand you have concerns online, and you are very right to… but I promise you we do everything with incredible respect and data integrity!
