UFOlogists have a new poster girl if you can believe your eyes and what they see in these striking images from Mars.
Anomaly hunters (that’s a thing, apparently) have pored over images of the red planet sent back by NASA’s Curiosity Rover and pinpointed this image as showing a ghostly, feminine figure standing amid the rocks and gazing up.
They have reported the “figure” as a “strange [alien] woman walking on Mars”.
Mr Waring also theorises that the figue could be a highly eroded ancient statue. “It’s hard to tell if this is a living being, or a statue of a being from long ago. However, a statue that small would be eroded and destroyed easily, so it has a higher chance of being a living being. Also it is facing the Mars rover… watching it from a distance”.
NASA scientists maintain that images like this are an example of a psychological phenomenon called “pareidolia,” which is the tendency of the human mind to perceive familiar shapes and figures when presented with otherwise meaningless jumble of data.
But anomaly hunters dismiss this scientific explanation. An anomaly hunter told Inquisitr, “There is no such thing as pareidolia”.
Tell us, what do you think? Could there be life on Mars?
